Hi Everyone!  This week we are taking the time to talk about Cotey's beautiful triptychs: Cocktails and The Avocado.  Cocktail Triptych: Cotey is amazing at making patterns. It is one of her super powers, of which she has many. The first pattern that she designed, indeed the triptych we were all originally going to punch, was the Cocktails pattern. We were each going to take three of the drinks and punch our own versions of the drinks that we liked best. Then as we were discussing things, we didn't want people to feel like they were pinned in a corner...

Hannah Harding

Hi Everyone,   So, this week is going to be a shorter post. Sid, who is working on the Camping Summer Triptych, hasn't been able to complete his yet. Life has gotten in the way, something I am sure we all can understand! I do have progress shots and notes on his project that I will share this week and hopefully by the end of the Summer Triptych Punch Along I'll be able to share his completed piece. Because of this, if any of you who are working on the Camping Triptych have any special questions or would like advice...

Heidi loves to spend time at the beach, on cruises, and generally relaxing and enjoying the summer weather.  Heidi made up a pattern with the assistance of Cotey. She chose to incorporate a palm tree, Miami vice cocktail (layers of pina colada, and strawberry...

Hi Everyone! We are going to take this week to talk about two projects! My two projects, the Day Lapse, and the Floral Triptych, which was available for purchase and download.  Day Lapse: I started by making my Day Lapse piece. I had a very clear vision in my head for how I wanted it to look, the sun moving from sunrise, to midday, through to dusk. I wanted to showcase the beautiful bright pinks, oranges, and purples that appear in the sky as the sun sets as well as the soft pale hues that paint it when the sun...

Summer Triptych #3 - Let's Talk Yarn!

Hannah Harding

Hi Everybody!   This week we are going to talk about yarn. There are so many different types of yarn and they each have their own personality when you use them, whether it be for knitting, crocheting, or in this case, punching. There is a vast variety of yarn and they each have things that make them special or fun. Punching can be extremely frustrating if you don’t have the right materials, or if the materials you’re using aren’t working how you want them to. So, it’s a good rule of thumb to learn your yarn before working on...
