#OxCoPALs Winter Project!

Hannah Harding

Hi Everyone!   I hope that each and every one of you had a lovely holiday and New Year! I honestly cannot believe how fast 2022 flew by! Here is hoping that 2023 slows down a bit and will pass by at a nice leisurely pace. Between hockey, tennis, figure skating, work, school, and life, that doesn't quite seem possible, but I have my fingers crossed! With all that being said, I am super excited to be introducing the newest OxCoPALs project! We noodled around with a couple of options, even working on testers for another idea, that is actually...

#OxCoPALs Fall Coaster #5 - The Final Wrap Up

Hannah Harding

Hi Everyone!   Thank you so much for taking part in this project with us, we received amazing feedback from so many of you. We loved creating these coasters, from designing the yarn packs, to Cotey's designs, to the punching and finishing, and we couldn't be happier with how the whole project turned out. We saw some beautiful projects being worked on, some which were brought into the school, some emailed, and some tagged on social media. I'm so happy everyone was having fun with these, pulling from your stashes or using the color-ways that we designed. I love seeing everyone's...

#OxCoPALS Fall Coaster #4 - FINISHING!

Hannah Harding

Hi Everyone! It is now that time! That time EVERYONE has been waiting for! FINISHING! WAHOO! I have received tons of questions and comments on finishing the coasters. Finishing and how you decide to finish these coasters, or any project really, is super important and just like tying a shoe, everyone has their personal preference! (I like to make two loops, kid #1 likes slip on, kid #2 likes Velcro, my best friend likes one loop, then wrap around the other lace...I digress...) Here you can usually find Heidi and Christy hemming projects, and Cotey usually whip stitches. I...

#OxCoPALs Update!

Hannah Harding

Hi Everyone!   I know that today is the day I have a nice long blog post with tips, tricks, and progress information, but as many of you know, life gets in the way sometimes! Life has been nuts here at The Oxford Company, and in a good way! We have been super busy getting orders out, yarn dyed, computers updated, yarn packs and kits made up, etc. This means that the blog post for finishing tips and tricks for these fall coasters isn't quite done yet. I could rush and send something out, it just doesn't seem fair to...

#OxCoPALs Fall Coasters #3 - Punching Those Coasters!

Hannah Harding

Hi Everyone! How is the coaster project going for you? Have you finished? Waiting on finishing details? Almost done with the punching?  I'm going to give you a few steps that need to be taken before we can cut the coasters apart. These are very important steps to take to make sure your coasters look as perfect as possible. Next week I will do a dive into how to whip stitch, hem, or even just simply glue your coasters. This week it's about the clean up.  You will notice around the coasters is a dotted line. This line is...
