Understanding Course Levels

STUDENT LEVELS:
Our courses are geared towards all students- from the complete beginner to the seasoned puncher! We have created an easy system for you to find courses that best match your experience level, or desired learning outcomes.
You are welcome to take multiple courses at each skill level, whether as a refresher, or to learn something brand new. There is always something fun to learn in every class!

Level 1 - For students who have no prior experience in punch needle, and have never made an Oxford Punch Needle project, or taken a class with an Oxford Certified Instructor.

Level 2 - For students with rudimentary knowledge of punching- how to thread an Oxford Punch Needle, how to punch loops, an idea of stitch gauge, and have completed at least one project, or taken one other Level 1 intro or beginner class with an Oxford Certified Instructor. Level 2 courses cover beginner skills, with a detailed focus.

Level 3 - For students who are very competent with the standard use of Fine Oxford Punch Needles and Regular Oxford Punch Needles, including correct stitch gauge, row spacing, and troubleshooting. Requires completion of at least one Level 1 and Level 2 course or independant projects at that level so students are ready to learn additional skills and techniques.

Level 4 - For students who have completed at least one Level 3 class in the related skill or technique, and are ready to tackle challenging projects.

Level 5 - For very advanced, highly proficient students, who are looking for a challenge.
