Prerequisites: Students should have taken a Level1 or Level 2 FINE Punch Needle course or have an equivalent understanding and basic skill of punching with the Fine Oxford Punch Needle

Learn to create your own adorable 3D Bunny standing figure!
Simone will show you how to use multiple Oxford Punch Needle sizes to enhance the look of layers, plus best practices when punching a 3D object. Also, adding embellishments, creating a fun and floofy bunny tail, and final assembly of your project will be covered in a clear, step-by-step way.
The digital pattern for the 10.5" bunny is free with the purchase of the class and a detailed supply list will be provided. Use our Violet Jane yarn color recommendations, or choose your own- make a rainbow of bunnies if you wish! Discover how each bunny develops its own personality as it is punched.

All of our live online courses are delivered through Zoom, so you can join in the fun from anywhere you have internet available! ORHS classes are recorded as a courtesy to its students by the ORHS and its instructors, and the recording will be made available to course participants for 30 days after the course. This allows you to review the lesson, or to catch up should you miss a class.

Materials and supplies required for class:
• Digital Pattern (free with class registration!), printed
• Worsted weight or Aran weight yarns to punch your bunny, and bunny's clothing ( more details and recommendations provided after registration)
• NOTE: Our new Fine Yarns are perfect for this project!
• 24" by 24" monks cloth
• Small amounts of wool fabric or craft felt for ear lining, bottom of bunny
• Decorative buttons
• Strong thread
• Optional- floral wire
• Optional- small canning lid or other jar lid
Tools required:
• Black Sharpie Marker
• Oxford Punch Needles: #13 fine Oxford Punch Needle is the minimum required, however having a #10 Fine, #9 Fine, #8 Fine will give more interesting results.
• Gripper Frame- 18" recommended
• Small sharp scissors and fabric scissors
• White glue or hot glue
• Long Sharp Needle or doll needle to attach arms
• Craft Needle for assembly

As the Dean of the Oxford Rug Hooking School, Simone Vojvodin oversees the schools activities, along with the Oxford Certification program, fulfilling her dream of spreading the joy and creativity of punch needle rug hooking all across the globe! She is an Advanced Certified Oxford Instructor, who is incredibly passionate about teaching punch needle rug hooking, sharing her love of the craft with students since 2011.
A nature and animal lover, Simone resides on her little farm near Dutton, Ontario where she has her studio, Red Maple Ruggery. She enjoys designing patterns, dying wool, helping students, and of course punching rugs- which she describes as 'paintings in wool'. Her works have been featured in exhibitions in Canada and the U.S.A, published in magazines and books, and have won multiple awards. She is also the author of various articles on the subject, and the book "Mastering the Art of Punch Needle Rug Hooking," published by Rug Hooking Magazine.
