Course Description:
The Oxford Punch Needle is a versatile tool that can be used to make a variety of stitches: looped, flat, couched, as well as faux embroidery. In this taster class we will dive into the many ways a punch needle can be used in rug hooking by creating a punch needle stitch sampler that can be used for future reference and to brighten your artistic space. We will go through 11 different stitch combinations with time in class for you to try each one.
Detailed written instructions will be emailed after class, so there is no need to worry about taking notes. No kit needed, the class uses basic punch needle supplies that you likely already have or can purchase ahead of time. A digital pattern for students to trace onto monk's cloth will be emailed out prior to class.
ORHS classes are recorded as a courtesy to students and the recording will be made available to registered participants for 30 days after the course. This allows you to review the lesson, or to catch up should you miss a class.
