I have been a fiber enthusiast for over 20 years. I began teaching needlepoint and crewel classes at home parties back in the 80’s. I stumbled into traditional rug hooking and have grown in skill, developing true appreciation of all facets from primitive styles with a muted color palette to more contemporary designs with bold color choices. When I first encountered punch needle, while living in Vermont, I was drawn to the depth, texture, and richness of fiber and vast array of rugs displayed. I became a Certified Oxford Punch Needle Instructor in 2015. I offer private and group classes in the Portland, OR metro area along with my own hand dyed, 100% wool rug yarn, kits, patterns, and frames.
