Course Description: Take a safari through your collection of FINE Oxford Punch Needle sizes to create this fun and easy lion head project. This beginner-friendly class will start with a review of the basic skills needed to complete the project including loading the punch needle, starting and stopping, and properly spacing your rows for the FINE size punch needles. If you don’t have a full set of punch needles, you can use one or two sizes. A #13 Fine and a #10 Fine work best for this project. We’ll move ahead step-by-step to create our punch needle lions with 3-4 different yarn heights. The dimensions we create will lay flat (when pressed) and provide a more natural look to the lion’s features and some depth to his majestic mane. Our class will conclude with an easy no-sew finishing technique that you can use for many more projects.
This is the first project in Taryn's punch needle Safari collection! No previous experience is necessary to join in the Safari adventure.
