In this four‑week Zoom series, we’ll pair punch needle rug hooking with the hilarious mystery I’m Not the Only Murderer in My Retirement Home by Fergus Craig. Each session blends lively book‑club conversation, guided punch‑along time, and weekly creative prompts inspired by the story’s twists, secrets, and quirky characters. Whether you’re new to punch needle or already hooked, this class offers a cozy, laughter‑filled space to make art, make friends, and enjoy a truly unforgettable read.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own punch needle projects and supplies to the sessions to work on during class.
Unable to make the live session? We've got you covered! All ORHS sessions are recorded as a courtesy to students and the recording will be made available to course participants for 30 days after the course. This allows you to review the discussion, or to catch up should you miss a session.

Participants will need a copy of: I’m Not the Only Murderer in My Retirement Home by Fergus Craig by purchasing the book through a local bookstore, borrowing it from a library or other source, or ordering it online in either print or audiobook format.

Mandy Alsager is an Oxford Certified Punch Needle Rug Hooking instructor from Cadillac, Michigan. She enjoys creating through the mediums of punch needle and pottery. Inspiration for her art comes from her bicycle trips in the North Carolina mountains and the coast. In addition to creating, Mandy offers punch needle rug hooking courses online, in person, and in private. Her experience, energetic and down to earth teaching style, and engaging approach make her classes highly sought after.
