Prerequisites: The basic foundation skills with the Fine Point Oxford Needle are required, students should have completed at least one other project or ideally, have taken a Level 1 intro or Level 2 course with an Oxford Certified Instructor.

Length: 6 hours total, divided into 3- 2 hour sessions

Celebrate the start of Summer with this incredibly popular fine point punch needle course which teaches one of Laura's four seasons tree series projects! Finished dimensions of the panel is 13x13 inches.

Throughout this class, Laura will be focusing on color and contrast, shading and eye movement, negative and positive space, plus creating flow and harmony within the piece. She also encourages customization and adaptation of the design, coaching different options during the class.

There are two kit options available-

Kit Option 1: Monk’s cloth with traced design and PDF instructions, $45 plus $10 flat rate shipping to continental US.

Kit Option 2: Monk’s cloth with traced design, PDF instructions, and wool yarn package in colors for the project, $150 plus $12 flat rate shipping to continental US.

Students should provide:

  • 14x14 or 18×18 inch gripper strip frame.
  • Oxford punch needles, size 14, 13, and 10.
  • Bent handle scissors.
  • Materials for finishing after class, including needle and thread, sewing pins or fabric clips. 
  • If kit option 1 is selected students will need to provide yarns for punching.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: The fee for the kits is not included in the course registration fee. The kit fee is payable directly to the instructor who will contact you prior to the course to arrange the purchase and payment for your kit, to confirm your mailing address and to answer any questions you may have.
