This class explores how to use the wonderful grid of Monk's cloth to make beautiful and precise geometric designs that visually pop, influenced by the beautiful textile traditions of the American Southwest. A biscornu is a French shape, often used for making pin cushions, but here we expand that size to create a unique pillow or foot stool, with button tufting at the center. The process magically takes two squares and creates a zig-zag edged circle!
Laura is providing two kit choices- please see the materials Tab below for details.
This course is designed for students who have taken Laura’s beginner level 1/2 course, or any other Oxford fine point beginner punch needle course, but if you have other previous experience please reach out to see if this project is a good fit for you.
