Robin is a passionate rug hooking artist and Advanced Oxford Certified Punch Needle Instructor. Having started her creative journey with yarn at the young age of 6 knitting vests and scarves for her dolls, she has never stopped playing with fibre since. In 2020 she launched her rug hooking business Hooking Outside the Lines and the Creativity Club for Rug Makers, an online membership group. Robin loves to help people connect with their inner artist (even if they don’t think they have one!) as well as celebrate all things rug hooking, creativity and community. Robin teaches from her home studio, just outside Ottawa Ontario, where she lives with her husband and dogs.
Robin is an Advanced Certified Oxford Instructor and an active member of The Oxford Punch Needle Instructors Guild (OPNIG). She was also on the planning committee for the 2024 The International Guild of Handhooking Rugmakers (TIGHR) Conference in Niagara Falls, and is a member of the Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia (RHGNS) and her local Ottawa Olde Forge Guild.
