Becky Gernes received her Oxford Punch Needle Instructor Certificate in November of 2024 Becky is an avid fiber artist who enjoys sharing her passion for the punch needle art form. She has taught numerous classes for beginning punch needle at a local yarn shop, Knitting from the Heart and at St. Jude of the Lake School. She is recognized by her students for being a patient and knowledgeable instructor. Her most recent work, “Beach House”, received a blue ribbon at the 2024 Minnesota State Fair. Her other fiber arts interests include Fine Punch Needle Embroidery, Traditional Rug Hooking, Knitting, Applique, Needle Felting, and original Pattern Design. She has had her pieces displayed at the Stillwater Public Library, the Minnesota State Fair, and Lakeview Hospital. Her piece titled; “Shake Rag” (designed by Sally Kallin) is included in an article in the April/May 2022 issue of ATHA Magazine.
