Nancy is an experienced designer who enjoys creating with fabric and fibre. Nancy ‘grew up behind a sewing machine’. Her mom was a professional dressmaker, who taught her to crochet and sew at the age of 5, and nurtured her creativity. She went on to study Fashion Design, and started her career in a knitwear company, where she found she had a strong affinity to detailed work, and moved to designing knitwear stitches and surface pattern design. Nancy enjoys many creative outlets including painting, embroidery, cross stitch, quilting, felting, and wool appliqué. She inherited her Mom’s Fraser 500-1 Wool Stripper, and thus started her introduction into rug hooking, punch needle and dyeing wool. Designing and creating is a large part of her self expression, and she is passionate about teaching and inspiring others to express themselves through their individual creativity. Nancy is an Oxford Certified Punch Needle Rug Hooking Instructor.
