Lil is an Oxford Certified Instructor, as well as an OHCG Certified Teacher, who was introduced, by her mother, to both punch needle rug hooking and traditional rug hooking when she was a child, along with a variety of other arts/crafts including weaving, beading, felting, tatting, crocheting, and knitting to name a few. She loves to incorporate all these art forms into her punch needle rug hooking and traditional rug hooking projects. Lil believes that the 'Sky's the limit', and encourages her students to think outside the box. Lil enjoys teaching Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced students alike. She enjoys helping students to learn how to punch; hook and bead, as well as how to incorporate other art forms into their punched and hooked pieces. Lil is enthusiastic about teaching a variety of courses; her specialities are: Three Dimensional, Functional and Wearable Art. Lil is proud of her Indigenous Heritage , and this shows in her series of courses called, "Come Walk a Mile in my Moccasins'', where she teaches you how to create various styles of moccasins and bags through punching and/or hooking and beading. Lil enjoys teaching in person as well as virtually. Lil, by using Zoom, is open to teaching people across the globe and in all time zones. Lil is a member of The Oxford Punch Needle Instructors Guild (OPNIG); The Ontario Hooking Craft Guild (OHCG); The International Guild of Handhooking Rugmakers (TIGHR); The Rug Hooking Guild of NL (RHGNL) and the RHGNS.
