Jane Holden is a lifelong artist, rug maker and teacher with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art. Hooking since 2002, she began to explore punch needle rug hooking with an antique Bluenose Hooker in 2018 by combining fabric and yarn. Her influences range from the Arts and Crafts movement to Art Deco, Indigenous and Japanese Art. Jane enjoys sharing her love of colour in designing rugs from flowers & fish to geometrics and fantastical AI creations. Currently she teaches rug making and dyeing, both online and in person. She is a certified teacher with the Teachers Branch of Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia and an Oxford Certified Punch Needle Instructor. She is a member of ATHA, OHCG and RHGNS organizations and her articles have appeared in ATHA and RHGNS Loop publication.
