Bonnie Myers is a New Hampshire native. She is a Certified Oxford Punching Needle Instructor. Her Canadian grandmother taught her many traditional hand crafts. By eight years of age, Bonnie had learned to, sew, appliqué, hand embroider, crochet, quilt, and hook and braid rugs. After working for stitching fabric products for Avon, Cover Craft and others, Bonnie decided to start her own business. The Bonnie Rose specializes in all things sewing and fiber related. During the last 30 years, Bonnie has gained expansive knowledge, training, and experience in many art forms including punch needle, traditional rug hooking, quilting, appliqué, embroidery, theorem painting, and tailoring. Bonnie has shared her knowledge and skills with students of all ages. Bonnie’s professional drive within the art world has been fueled by her belief that one should keep their hands busy and minds creating. In 2010, as an accomplished punch needle and traditional rug hooker, Bonnie started running workshops at The Woolery in Wilton, New Hampshire. Bonnie went on to obtain her teaching certification in punch needle rug hooking at The Oxford Company in Cornwall, Vermont with Oxford Punch Needle creator, Amy Oxford. Always looking for another creative outlet, Bonnie has expanded into pattern design. These patterns and kits will be at her classes as well as your local craft, fiber, and yarn shops. She also recreates photos onto fabric for your projects.
