I have been a rug hooking instructor for 20 years, and a Certified Oxford Instructor since 2019. After owning my own studio in NH, my husband and I relocated to Melbourne, Florida where I have resumed my wool yarn dyeing business and my teaching. I am currently working on a new color palette and new weights of wool to accommodate the contemporary style I enjoy while maintaining my regular line for primitive and country designs. After studying Textile Design and Colour at Cities and Guilds Institute in London, I opened Pumpkin Ridge Rugs in Salisbury. NH. I have been past president of Live Free and Hook McGown Rug Hooking Guild. I show my rugs in the US and Canada and enjoy teaching others how to express themselves using nature as a subject. Much of my teaching is about color and form. I teach rug punching, rug hooking and Cheticamp style rug hooking. I hand dye the wool that I punch and hook with and that I use in my teaching. I design all of my rugs and wall hangings and custom design projects for my students. I also do work on commission.
