Heather came to rug making after years of searching for her “thing”. She has been making rugs since the mid 2000’s and thrives on not only researching different styles of art forms but the stories and cultures behind them. She has a deep appreciation of time-honoured hand work, and loves to share the joy and peace that making rugs has brought her. In the last couple of years Heather decided to make it official and is now a certified Oxford Punch Needle instructor, certified Ontario Hooking Craft Guild instructor as well as a certified Deanne Fitzpatrick Studio instructor. Heather enjoys the learning process almost as much as the making and continues to search out learning opportunities from world class instructors to keep up to date and share that knowledge with her students.
