Intro to Punch Needle

Class Hours for each of the above: 1pm-4pm
Level: Beginner (May also be taken by intermediates as a refresher)
Tuition: $59 (Includes materials for your project)
This beginner mini-workshop is a great way to try punch needle rug hooking to see how you like it! Quick and easy to learn, punch needle is often described as “instant gratification with wool.” You will use 100% wool rug yarn and an Oxford Punch Needle to make a 4” x 4” “mug rug.” Perfect for your personal favorite mug or to give as a gift. Assorted templates will be available to help create your punch hooking design as well as a wide assortment of beautiful hand dyed yarn colors. All aspects of punching from preparation through to finishing will be covered.
Materials Provided: Monk’s Cloth and yarn to complete one mug rug are included in the cost of tuition. #10 Oxford Punch Needle, gripper strip frame, and frame cover are available to borrow in class and may be purchased after class if you choose.
Please Bring to Class: Sharp pointed embroidery/appliqué scissors if you have them.
