Cup Cozey Make-and-Take

Create dazzling and unique cozeys for your favorite drink container in this full day course taught by Oxford Certified Instructor Cotey Gallagher. A template for either tapered shapes like coffee to-go cups, or straight that can be sized to mason jars and soda cans will be available. Pre-made designs as well as create-your-own design options are offered and an array of beautiful yarn will be provided for you. This project will be taught using an Oxford #13 fine punch needle and utilizing fine yarns. Feel free to bring your own stash yarn from home if you want to incorporate it in your cozeys! The class will cover from start-to-finish how to measure your cup, punch your pieces and assemble and finish your cozeys for use.
Materials Provided: Monk’s Cloth and yarn to complete 2 cup cozeys are included in the cost of tuition, as well as miscellaneous finishing materials. Oxford Punch Needles, gripper strip frames and covers are available to borrow in class and may be purchased after class if you choose.
Please Bring to Class: Black Sharpie marker for transferring your pattern to monk’s cloth, sharp pointed embroidery/appliqué scissors (available for purchase upon request), any stash worsted weight yarn you may want to include in your project, and DON’T FORGET your to-go cup, mason jar or drink container you will be cozeying up!
A supply list will be provided upon registering for the class.
