The Oxford Rug Hooking School is located in a stunning 1816 Colonial house in the pastoral setting of Cornwall, Vermont.
We hope you will think of us as your "rug hooking home away from home."
Lodging is available at our charming 1816 Colonial home. We have wide pumpkin pine floors, comfy quilts, and a style that is refreshingly clean and uncluttered. Our beds are very comfortable and it’s so relaxing to stay right at the school. There are three bedrooms available for students. The Butterfly Room has two double beds, the Bird Room has two twin beds, and the Rosenthal Room is a private room with one twin bed. There are three shared baths, one with a tub/shower and two with showers.
Cost for lodging is $99 per night (plus tax) for the private room and $55 per night (plus tax) per person for the double rooms. Students may also request to use any of our three rooms as a private room for $99 per night (plus tax). We offer a Continental breakfast for our lodgers for $7.50 (tax included). Students are also welcome to use the kitchen facilities should they prefer to prepare their own breakfasts or other meals. Reservations for lodging at The Oxford Rug Hooking School are taken on a first come first served basis. If you prefer not to stay at the school, a complete list of nearby motels and B&Bs is available on request.
Longer Stay Discounts: We offer a 10% discount on room rates for any student who stays for more than three nights. This lowers the room rate down to $89.10 for a private room, and $49.50 for a double room (plus tax).
RV Camping: $20 per night with electric hook-up available. We have room for one RV with use of a bath with a shower. You are welcome to bring a dog ($1 per night) or a horse ($5 per night) but dogs and horses are not allowed in the schoolhouse. There is a small barn for your horse and lots of grass to eat.
Tent Camping: $10 per night with use of a bath with a shower. Choose a tent site on our one and a half acre property.
The Rosenthal Room has one twin bed.
The Butterfly Room has two full size beds.

If you would like to eat breakfast out, Middlebury has several options including a restaurant, a diner, a bagel bakery that serves full breakfast and has great donuts, and a coffee shop.
