We suggest using a #10 regular Oxford Punch Needle when making mug rugs. Loops that are longer than 1/4" thick are not sturdy and stable enough to keep a mug from tipping.
Mug Rug Kits include the following:
- 4 - 1 oz balls of 100% wool rug yarn. If you are using a #10 regular Oxford Punch Needle you will have enough to do 2 mug rugs, one in light and one in dark.
- 4 - traceable 4" x 4" patterns (One each of the Flower, Heart, Leaf, and Spiral patterns shown) Can easily be traced on a window or small light table
- 1 - Piece of serged 24" x 24" monk's cloth
- Easy to follow instructions
You can easily trace 4 mug rugs on one piece of 24" x 24" monk's cloth. To complete 4 mug rugs, you would need an extra 4 pack of yarn, which you can find HERE
